Tulisan ini bukan ajang kesombongan. Tapi murni berbagi pengalaman dan saran bahwa status nasabah prioritas saat ini tidaklah lebih dari sarana keren-kerenan yang tidak penting bagi sebagian orang.

Dulu saya menjadi nasabah prioritas murni karena keperluan usaha, agar mendapatkan pelayanan maksimal dari pihak cabang. Mengingat setiap harinya karyawan saya mengunjungi bank untuk keperluan penyetoran uang dan administrasi. Selain itu, kegiatan usaha saya memang berkaitan erat dengan dunia perbankan, jadi ada kepentingan menjaga hubungan baik dan nama baik.

Sebelum mulai lebih lanjut, saya ingin mengklarifikasi bahwa tulisan ini hanya akan membahas tingkat prioritas. Dan tidak akan membahas tingkatan diatasnya (seringkali disebut solitaire/private) ataupun dibawahnya (biasanya disebut privilege banking). Alasannya, saya tidak memiliki pengalaman menjadi nasabah private. Sedangkan untuk privilege banking saya masih memiliki keanggotaan aktif, namun hampir tidak ada bedanya dengan nasabah biasa.

Keuntungan menjadi nasabah prioritas

  • Punya kartu debit keren yang bisa buat pamer saat melakukan pembayaran, meskipun saat ini lebih sering bayar pakai QRIS yang contactless
  • Bebas ngantri atau ngantri lebih cepat untuk mendapatkan pelayanan di cabang, meskipun sejak pandemi makin jarang ke cabang
  • Nunggu pesawat bisa nongkrong gratis di lounge bandara, meskipun sejak pandemi ga pernah berpegian
  • Bunga kredit yang lebih rendah, meskipun seumur idup ga pernah minjem duit di bank ataupun badan keuangan apapun
  • Auto-approve kartu kredit
  • Manfaat trivial lain seperti diskon khusus di tempat tertentu, bonus poin, dan hal-hal lain yang tidak pernah saya gubris

Kenapa manfaat prioritas makin tidak terasa

Sebenarnya di poin atas tersebut saya sudah menjabarkan juga kan. Bahwa manfaat-manfaat tersebut sebenarnya kurang efektif dinikmati di saat pandemi, karena rata-rata berhubungan dengan fasilitas travelling. Selain itu, selama era pandemi ini bank-bank konvensional yang menawarkan program prioritas pun mulai melakukan adaptasi pelayanan nasabah. Dengan cara menggalakkan channel komunikasi digital, menaikkan limit transaksi online, dan menambahkan fitur transaksi yang sebelumnya hanya bisa dilakukan di cabang.

Atas dasar tersebutlah, saya pun saat ini sudah tidak lagi memperpanjang status keanggotaan prioritas saya. Uang saldo tabungan saya sudah saya pindahkan ke investasi lain yang memberikan hasil lebih. Screenshot portfolio saya juga bisa digunakan untuk keren-kerenan menggantikan kartu debit saya.

Memangnya bagaimana menjadi nasabah prioritas?

Cara jadi priority banking berbeda-beda setiap bank. Tapi umumnya selalu berhubungan dengan seberapa banyak uang yang anda percayakan pada bank tersebut.

Kenapa saya bilang berbeda-beda? Karena setiap bank punya rumus unik tersendiri untuk menghitung uang tersebut. Saya akan berikan contoh formula perhitungan bank BCA dan Mandiri, yang kebetulan saya memiliki pengalaman menjadi nasabah prioritas disana.

BCA: memiliki DPK dana tabungan (tidak termasuk deposito) minimal 250 juta, atau portfolio minimal 500 juta (dihitung keseluruhan dari deposito, tabungan, reksadana, SBN, tapi tidak termasuk asuransi)

Mandiri: memiliki total portfolio 1 milyar, dihitung dari tabungan, deposito, reksadana, SBN, asuransi, RDN saham.

Anda mungkin berpikir bahwa BCA lebih ramah kantong karena “cukup mempunyai 250 juta saja”. Namun perlu diingat bahwa 250 juta tersebut harus ditaruh di rekening tabungan yang bunganya kecil sekali. Bandingkan saja bila 250 juta tersebut kita taruh di p2p lending yang returnnya 10x lebih tinggi, maka berapa banyak kerugian opportunity kita. Dengan kata lain, 250 juta yang ‘tidur’ tersebut sebenarnya bunganya dimakan oleh si BCA untuk biaya keanggotaan prioritas anda.

Sedangkan untuk Mandiri, sedikit lebih baik karena kita bebas memilih instrumen investasi apapun yang kita inginkan, meskipun nilai portfolionya butuh lebih tinggi di angka 1 milyar.

Biasanya bank juga mengenakan denda apabila nilai portfolio kita berkurang dibawah nilai tertentu. Denda ini nilainya ratusan ribu dan kriteria pengenaannya beda-beda. Untuk BCA, apabila pada satu hari saja terjadi drop saldo dibawah nilai yang ditentukan, maka di akhir bulan tersebut akan dipotong denda 500 ribu rupiah.

Untuk Mandiri, denda baru akan dikenakan bila selama tiga bulan berturut-turut nilai portfolionya turun dibawah nilai yang ditentukan. Bila hanya satu bulan drop lalu bulan selanjutnya kembali ke nilai yang sudah ditentukan, maka tidak ada denda. Saya tidak tahu berapa dendanya karena tidak pernah dikenakan sama sekali.

Jadi, apakah worth it?

Kita sebagai manusia yang berorientasi cuan, tentu harus menghitung baik-baik risk-reward ratio dari setiap keputusan kita. Menjadi nasabah prioritas memang memiliki banyak kebanggaan, namun juga membutuhkan ‘biaya’ yang cukup tinggi. Biaya yang saya maksud disini bukan potongan bulanan, karena sebenarnya tidak ada biaya keanggotaan yang dikenakan.

Namun, ‘biaya’ yang saya maksud adalah potensi retur yang lebih tinggi yang kita lewatkan bila kita memilih menempatkan dana di bank. Potensi return tertinggi yang bisa diberikan produk perbankan mungkin reksadana saham, yang secara kasar memberikan potensi 14% per tahun di jangka panjang. Tentu hal ini kalah dengan p2p lending dan bot forex yang bahkan bisa menyaingi di jangka pendek.

Selain itu, pembelian reksadana pun dikenakan biaya 0.5% – 1% di bank, padahal pembelian lewat fintech dan APERD saja digratiskan (malah dikasih cashback!). Jadi, manfaat yang kita dapatkan sebagai nasabah prioritas itu sebenarnya ya berbayar, hanya saja kita tidak sadar darimana datangnya biaya keanggotaan tersebut.

Kesimpulan

Seperti yang sudah saya sampaikan di pembuka, keanggotaan nasabah prioritas penting apabila kegiatan usaha kita membutuhkan pelayanan prima dari cabang bank, atau ada kepentingan lain seperti kerjasama usaha.

Tapi bila tidak, maka lebih baik memamerkan portfolio saham ketimbang memamerkan kartu debit prioritas anda.
