Sama halnya dengan tulisan saya perihal gejala penyakit p2p lending. Banyak yang menanyakan juga perihal gejala penyakit bot forex kepada saya. Dan sebenarnya sempat saya bahas dalam salah satu topik webinar saya bersama Kontan.


Sekali lagi saya tegaskan, yang berhak menentukan ilegal atau tidak itu bukan saya, melainkan badan otoritas seperti bappeti dan OJK. Saya sebagai edukator blogger yang sok tahu hanya bisa membagikan tips sesuai dengan pengalaman dan pendapat saya, yang tak luput dari kesalahan juga. Oleh karena itu, silakan saja meninggalkan pendapat dan ajaran kepada saya di kolom komentar dibawah, apabila anda tidak setuju atapun memiliki metode yang lebih ampuh dalam menilai kewajaran suatu bot

Dari Segi Broker

Sudah saya tegaskan berkali-kali bahwa broker lah yang perlu kita nilai, karena disitulah kita menaruh uang kita. Ciri-ciri autotrade yang berbau ponzi adalah. Brokernya dibuka hanya khusus untuk melayani autotrade itu saja, tidak menerima pendaftaran umum dan tidak bisa melakukan trading manual.
Karena, broker yang kredible dan ‘asli’ pasti memiliki banyak klien dari berbagai channel, bukan hanya dari satu merk autotrade saja.

Beberapa ciri-ciri yang harus diwaspadai

  • Hanya bisa mendaftar menggunakan kode referral, tidak menerima pendaftaran umum
  • Kalau kita hubungi layanan pelanggannya, baik melalui email ataupun media lainnya, tidak ada balasan sama sekali
  • Tidak memiliki online presence dalam bentuk apapun. Kalau memang si broker ini serius berbisnis, sudah pasti tidak hanya mengandalkan referensi dari layanan autotrade saja
  • Tidak memerlukan proses KYC yang berkaitan dengan upaya anti money laundering

Kalau si broker ini kita bisa daftar dari awal sampai eksekusi trading manual, dan bahkan punya media sosial yang kece, maka bisa dipastikan bukan broker abal-abal yang cuma jadi ‘bikinan’ si pemasar bot saja.

Cara mengetes kredibilitas broker:

  • Lakukan pendaftaran tanpa melalui link referral/afiliasi dari sales bot
  • Kirim email ke alamat email yang tercantum di website bot – lihat apakah dibalas atau tidak
  • Coba lakukan deposit, trade manual, dan withdrawal – apakah semuanya lancar?

Dari Segi MQL5

MQL5 merupakan website komunitas pengguna Metatrader. Dimana pengguna bisa membagikan portfolio mreka dan melakukan penjualan signal. MQL5 akan melakukan rekap terhadap total return, maksimum drawdown, tingkat algoritma, jumlah uang yang dikelola, dll. MQL5 juga bisa kita manfaatkan sebagai ajang untuk menilai keabsahan suatu bot atau copytrade.

Hal pertama yang kita bisa pelajari dari MQL5 suatu bot adalah, nilai dari algo trade, yang menunjukkan seberapa besar trade yang dilakukan dengan bantuan robot. Perlu diingat bahwa ada dua jenis dari autotrade, yakni copytrade yang sekedar melakukan salinan trade seseorang sebagai rujukan, dan algotrade dimana ada robot yang melakukan trade berdasarkan signal teknikal.

Apabila autotrade yang anda gunakan mengaku menggunakan algotrade, maka sudah sewajarnya nilai algo trade di MQL5 menunjukkan angka diatas 50%. Beberapa orang bahkan bersikukuh bahwa trade yang dijalankan bot seharusnya menunjukkan angka 100%, namun saya pribadi menganggap angka diatas 59% sudah menunjukkan kewajaran. Alasannya, beberapa robot memang jalan menggunakan bantuan manusia.

Saya sendiri pernah mencoba membuat robot bersama teman pada 2014 silam, dan memang ada periode pembelajaran’ bagi si bot dimana membutuhkan bantuan kita untuk mencapai formula/rumus yang optimal. Jadi, robot dengan bantuan manusia itu sebenarnya masih wajar bila menunjukkan rasio algo trade diatas 50%,

Hal kedua, apakah broker yang bekerjasama dengan si bot itu terdaftar di forum MQL5? Maksudnya, bila kita mau mendaftarkan akun Metatrader kita di MQL5, apakah brokernya masuk dalam list dropdown yang bisa dipilih?

Bila tidak, ada dua kemungkinan. Kemungkinan pertama, bahwa broker tersebut tidak pernah sekalipun didaftarkan pada sistem MQL5 oleh pengguna MQL5 ataupun perwakilan resmi brokernya. Pada kemungkinan yang pertama ini, sebenarnya tidak mengindikasikan hal yang buruk. Bisa saja si broker memang malas mendaftarkan diri pada MQL5 atau memang tidak cukup laku sehingga tidak ada penggunanya yang mendaftarkan pada MQL5.

Kemungkinan kedua, yang lebih buruk, adalah apabila broker tersebut sudah pernah terdaftar di MQL5 namun dihapus oleh tim moderator karena dianggap melanggar aturan. Aturan main yang dilanggar harus cukup parah, misalnya terbukti melakukan manipulasi harga ataupun performa algoritma yang tidak wajar sehingga dihapus dari sistem MQL5. Sejauh ini, sudah ada satu broker rekanan bot forex yang dihapus atas alasan ini.

Dari Chart Metatrader

Terjadi perbedaan chart antara chart broker tersebut dengan broker lainnya

Ini sebenarnya belum tentu mengindikasikan hal yang tidak baik. Perbedaan harga antara satu broker dengan yang lain itu wajar karena setiap broker memiliki liquidity provider dan spread yang berbeda. Perbedaan chart di hitungan chart menit pun bisa terjadi perbedaan karena volume transaksi yang berbeda.

Namun apabila selisih chartnya kelihatan dalam hitungan hour atau bahkan day, maka hampir dapat dipastikan bahwa broker tersebut melakukan market taking atau dealing desk, dengan tujuan berupaya memanipulasi harga. Kemungkinan lebih buruknya, malah dilakukan fake order untuk memenuhi ‘target profit’ pengguna bot tersebut.

Oleh karena itu, saya menyarankan untuk membuka lebih dari satu akun broker agar bisa menjadi komparasi perbandingan.

Live Trade Tidak bisa dilihat, hanya ada closed trade saja

Kalau memang autotrade nya benar-benar melakukan trading asli, harusnya bisa dilihat secara realtime saat melakukan open position. Bot yang hanya menunjukkan closed position di history menurut saya kurang transparan.

Kendati demikian, beberapa pencipta bot berkata bahwa live trade tidak bisa dilihat dengan alasan agar trade nya tidak disalin penumpang gelap. Ini alasan yang tidak sepenuhnya salah – karena bagaimanapun kita sudah membayar untuk bot, masa rela signal nya diambil semua orang?

Setidaknya, kalau memang tidak mau disalin orang lain, mungkin lakukan saja delay atas live trade nya, tidak perlu ditutupi seluruhnya.

Dari Kebijakan Withdrawal

Saya juga kurang suka bot trading yang memberlakukan pembatasan withdraw pada modal kita, apalagi bila bot tersebut mengaku bahwa ‘setiap akun memiliki bot masing-masing’. Seharusnya penarikan modal berapapun tidak mempengaruhi performa bot, karena toh bot yang bagus bisa menyesuaikan volume transaksi sesuai dengan modal kita yang tersedia. Maka saya cukup heran kalau ada bot yang hangus ketika dilakukan penarikan diatas nilai tertentu: atas dasar apa membuat kebijakan seperti ini?

Pemberlakukan modal minimum menurut saya lebih wajar untuk:

  • Bot yang menggunakan martingale dan floating loss, karena memang diperlukan modal yang cukup tinggi saat menahan kerugian agar tidak terjadi margin call.
  • Copytrade (bukan bot) yang menggunakan sistem PAMM/MAM, karena perubahan modal drastis secara mendadak bisa mempengaruhi psikis/strategi si trader rujukan atau pengelola dana. Hal ini sudah terjadi di salah satu merk robot forex yang mendadak melakukan pembatasan withdraw untuk ‘menstabilkan’ posisi trading mereka. Dugaan saya mereka melakukan floating loss cukup besar dan kaget karena mendadak ada banyak penarikan massal, sehingga berisiko terjadi margin call.

Untuk bot yang yang dipasangkan secara individual pada setiap akun trading, harusnya tidak perlu memberlakukan maximum withdraw.

Dari Rekam Jejak Profit

High risk, high return adalah hukum alam yang tidak bisa dikalahkan siapapun atau robot secerdas apapun. Apabila return suatu bot atau copytrade terlampau tinggi tidak wajar, sudah bisa dipastikan dua kemungkinannya:

  1. Menggunakan strategi yang tinggi risiko seperti martingale sehingga ada risiko terjadi margin call
  2. Ponzi atau money game, sehingga tinggal menunggu kapan tumbangnya

Saya tidak bisa menjawab berapa persentase ‘kewajaran’ return sebuah bot forex, karena bagi setiap orang, nilai return yang ‘tinggi’ ini berbeda-beda. Bagi investor konservatif, 10% per tahun sudah dibilang high return. Bagi investor yang suka risiko tinggi, 24% setahun pun masih dianggap low risk.

Lain -Lain

Dengarkan suara hati anda. Kalau ada perasaan was-was atau kepikiran malam-malam sebelum tidur, lebih baik gausa ikut-ikutan. Banyak investasi lain yang lebih menenangkan hati. Atau lebih baik lagi, belajar trading manual.
